Central Florida Prenatal massage, acupuncture & pregnancy resources
Pregnant or Postpartum in Central Florida?
At Tree of Life Birth and Gynecology, we believe pregnancy is a whole-person journey. To help you feel confident and supported, we’ve curated trusted resources on nutrition, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and newborn care—all from a holistic perspective.
Many families use acupuncture for infertility issues for women and men, nausea in pregnancy, back pain in pregnancy, rotate a baby from breach to vertex, and to get labor started. Some get relief from menopause symptoms, PCOS, and much more!
We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so many excellent Chiropractic Physicians. Over the past 20 years, we have worked with almost all of them!
How do you pick one? Well, you can start with this list, then check if they take your insurance, and then you can consult with someone for a connection. Asking their techniques, if they are Webster Technique trained, and how often they work on newborns are all great questions.
Being adjusted in pregnancy helps with EVERYTHING! We even have chiropractors come in during labor to help babies navigate the pelvis! In the first week after birth, it helps with breastfeeding, sleeping, and even pooping!

Our office staff member Ashley Dexter is certified to check your placement and security of your carseat. Most fire stations will also check that your infant carseat is installed correctly
Doula
We love Doulas! They provide emotional and physical support to you and your partner through labor. Many will come to the home and go through childbirth education and comfort measures, and then after the birth, do 1-2 postpartum appointments. Our Midwives work wonderfully with them, and they are an excellent addition to your birth team. We often recommend asking for one at your Baby Shower so everyone can chip in to pay!
Generally, babies come out and teach us how to breastfeed, but sometimes we need help!
Whether it takes just one appointment or several, lactation consultants are there to offer tips and techniques to help you reach your breastfeeding goals!
One of the best gifts you can give yourself after birth, vaginally or cesarean, is to see a pelvic floor specialist. Not only will they assess your pelvic floor, they can help with rectrus diastasis, urinary incontinence, and pain with intercourse. After birth we often see nerve damage affecting your core and pelvic floor. You need specific exercises and guidance to reengage muscles to prevent more pain or complications. Ask your Midwife for a referral!
Building a baby and carrying it around in your abdomen is hard work! If there was ever a time for a massage pregnancy is it! We recommend monthly massages with body work and every two weeks in the last month.
